Living Maths Olympiad 2017 - Papers are NOW online

Dear Principals, HOD’s, teachers, Home-school heads, mathematicians and colleagues,

The 2017 Living Maths Olympiad for grades (K)R-9 is officially ready.

For schools that are in South Africa  the Olympiad notices and instructions are here

For schools that are OUTSIDE of South Africa  the Olympiad International notices and instructions are here

The Olympiad Certificates are here (Please let us know if you want the WORD versions for mail merging or translating the certificates into a different language)
Olympiad resources including past papers (we will always add additional content – feel free to visit the Living Maths or the Living Maths International Maths Olympiad Facebook page)
The updated Errors sheet can be found here – this sheet will be updated on a daily basis based on feedback that we receive from teachers.  We will then update the papers online.  If you have already printed out your papers then please read through the errors sheet to see if there are any queries on questions or the marking memo.


We kindly request that you print out the Instructions sheet and main notice before taking part.  The instructions and the main notice will explain everything that you need to know.  Of course feel free to email us if you have any questions.

South African Schools can write any time from 16 October until 17 November 2017
International schools (IE Schools that are not in South Africa) can write 16 October until 22 December 2017.

Living Maths Mathletics Olympiad 2014

Some news about the maths Olympiad........

Dear Teachers and colleagues,

We are in the final phase of preparation for the 2014 Living Maths Olympiad.

This Olympiad is aimed at students from K-9.  On average we have about 170 000  students participate from around the world every year.  If you do not want to participate but still want to receive the links to the papers, we would be delighted to keep you on our mailing list.

The papers will all be online by the 6th of October 2014.  Schools will have ample time to write the papers and submit the results.

South African Schools can write from 6 October 2014 until 17 November 2014.
International Schools can write from 6 October 2014 until 19 December 2014


All our notices and resources are available online.  If you would like your students to do some old papers, please feel free to make use of the links on our website.
